Confidential to Truemyth

I haven't been keeping up with my Fabulous Fictional Females posts because, well, apparently no one cared.

Although I will be posting them eventually, I've been far too busy lately to mess with a daily post if I'm just doing it for my own amusement.

(We've had two workshops, two CDs in various stages of being written/edited/recorded/distributed, and two other events during the last two-three weeks alone)

I have the whole month - 28 different ladies - lined out and have been compiling links and images. The order is more-or-less random, however, one Female of the Day had a particular reason for being assigned to this date specifically. (and you, Ms. truemyth should know who and why)

So, even though I have not had time to compile an entry on her (partially because of the previously mentioned busyness and lack of audience interest, partially because I admit to not being very familiar with her character) I at least wanted to make a post ON the actual date.

Fabulous Fictional Females Fandom Fiesta February

Day 23 – Special Agent (and Dr.) Dana Scully

Even as someone who has seen less than a handful of X-Files episodes, I am well aware of the awesomeness inherent to Ms. Scully.

So much so, that I am breaking one of my self-imposed rules for this challenge. I only wanted to include women in the "real world" which disallowed superpowers, time travel, magic, and ...aliens.

But seeing as Scully is herself, a very realistic women, and furthermore, the forerunner to many amazing and strong female characters that came after, I feel comfortable making the exception.

I solemnly promise to return and give her a more fitting tribute, instead of a drive-by posting.

For now, I'll just ask if anyone reading this DID watch the show help me kickstart that entry by commenting with the top reasons you believe she is awesome. Okay?

It's the thought that counts, right?

I'm sorry you haven't been getting a lot of comments! It looks like you put a lot of time and effort into each post. Maybe you can find an LJ comm that would appreciate them? They should reach a wider audience.

Funnily enough, as I clicked back through the ones you posted, I wondered where the hell Scully was.

I feel like I'm not seeing these. I'm not great keeping up with the flist, but I can't remember seeing any of these pictures on my flist. Maybe Dani Reese?

Is it possible you're somehow dating out of order, or... something?

(It could also be just bad darn luck).

Aw, sad. I totally missed your plea for feedback, and in fact the other day Ii was wondering where the awesome women of February had gone!!

I didn't watch a lot of x-files to help with your post, but I always liked Scully.

I missed the feedback plea as well. Sorry.

I'm not a big x-files person, but I do love Scully.

Hi! I wondered what happend to your F5 posts. I somehow missed the post where you asked if we cared, because I do!

I understand about February being busy, I can't think of playing this year, but maybe in the summer, I might start thinking about little known historical women, and why they should be inspiring.

Oooo, is the Canadian playing a Canadian from Flashpoint? Because except for her silly relationship with Sam, Jules is awsome.

After reading Miniglik's comment, I went back to your journal and realized that I only saw 1 of the women. The first post on Veronica.

In someways this is great, as now I can go back to them, but in others it's sad, as I don't know how I missed them.

She's always open to trying new things:

Please to be enjoying the Scully picspams:

* The Hair, baby. The Hair.
* A few reasons to love her
* Why I've always wanted a sparkler in a SnoBall for my birthday

The Scully song:

I'm on a role now and I just want to spam a bit:

Like a few other people here, I hadn't seen any of these since Veronica. I totally understand if it's overwhelming to do because these are a lot of work, but they're fun.

I'm going to go back and look at all of them today, expect some random comments.
